Welcome to The Importance of Being Ernests!
So the two of us got together and voted unanimously that there just doesn’t exist a quality resource hub for Ernests Gulbis out there. (For those of you going “Errr, golfer?” clue: he’s a tennis player.)
We decided to put up a fansite for him, since we… well, more or less haunt the other main sites on him on the Internet anyway.
I (this is Z, mind you there are two of us) started Riga Mortis: The Ernests Gulbis Appreciation Society – the most awesome group in the history of Facebook. Feel free to join!
We, along with some loyal fans on MTF, also successfully lobbied for Ernests’ own forum there, with the help of friends who only vaguely cared but were kind enough to lend us their votes in the polls to show support for the forum.
We also painstakingly read Latvian sports news and try to understand the articles (I could now say Deivisa Kausa in a semi-convincing Latvian accent!) though with a low rate of success. Thankfully some of the helpful Latvians on MTF had been feeding us when they spot interesting tidbits in the news (Sergei before he went to uni, Evita now, and Janis C. who’s been very generous with photos.)
We will work on this blog bit by bit… Right now every section has content except for News, Audio and Video. We plan to have that section running soon and we hope you’ll stick with us in the meantime!
