Ernests withdraws from Båstad

Ernests has pulled out of the Swedish Open in Båstad due to an ankle injury, according to the official ATP draw.

The draw was made on Saturday and pitted Ernests against Belgian Steve Darcis in the first round. A possible quarter-final against the third-seeded Tommy Robredo awaited.

However, it was announced at the last minute that Ernests withdrew from the tournament and was replaced by Daniel Koellerer of Austria.

He is not entered into any tournament next week and is the fifth alternate for the Toronto Masters which begins on July 21st.

It is possible that he could have requested a wildcard for any of the upcoming tournaments but no participation has been confirmed.

    You can get live streamed matches by subscribing to the ATP Masters Series TV. A tournament pass costs USD14.95.

    I don’t know what TV channel you can watch it on because I don’t know what country you’re in.

    P.s. Can someone please tell me what surface will be on Olympic Games, coz I took a look on the starting lists and everyone from the ” top shelf ” of ATP including Ernest will be there :) Too bad that there will probably be no space for tennis in TV coverage from Beijing.
